About the Endowment

The Lynn L. Moody Endowment is a collaborative effort with the College of Charleston’s Office of Student Wellness & Well-Being (OSWW).  The LLM Endowment raises awareness and funds to support the OSWW’s How to Help a Struggling Friend in-person and interactive online course as well as additional OSWW programs and events.

Lynn L. Moody was a CofC alum who was an educator and guidance counselor, an avid equestrian and a loving wife and mother. In December 2019, Lynn tragically died by suicide, a profound loss to all who knew and loved her. Her family started the endowment to carry on her memory and her dedication to the well-being of others.

How You Can Help

In a national survey, three-quarters of college students reported moderate or severe psychological distress. The programs, training, and educational activities sponsored by the LLM Endowment all come from private donations. Your financial support allows us to assist more and more students at the College of Charleston.
